Curious about the Pokémon TCG or looking to sharpen your battle skills? Join us for a free “Learn to Play” event hosted by the Nintendo Society, in collaboration with The Cavern, with the Gaming and Esports Society and the Chinese Games Society taking part.

Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned Trainer, this is the perfect opportunity to learn the rules, try out decks, and enjoy some friendly matches in a relaxed, social setting. Our team will guide you through everything — from building your first deck to mastering battle strategies — no prior experience needed. All cards and decks will be provided, so you can jump right in and play straight away. Already have your own deck? Bring it along and show off your skills in some casual games.Snacks will be available throughout the evening to keep your energy up while you trade, battle, and connect with fellow Pokémon fans. In addition, elements from our Free 4 All Friday sessions will be running in parallel, so you can enjoy a mix of games and activities throughout the night. Whether you grew up catching them all or you’re just discovering the world of Pokémon, this event is a fun, welcoming way to dive into one of Nintendo’s most beloved games.
