The SU Student Awards 2025 are almost here – and this year, we’re taking you back in time with a glitzy 1920s speakeasy theme! 🍸🎷

Mark your diaries for Wednesday 7th May at Cheltenham Town Hall, where we’ll be rolling out the red carpet and celebrating the incredible successes of our student community in style.

From outstanding achievements to unforgettable contributions, the Students’ Union is thrilled to honour all the amazing individuals and groups that made this year shine.

Let’s make the SU Awards bigger, better, and more inclusive than ever before – dress to impress and get ready for a night to remember! 🏆🎊

Event Schedule 🎟️

Doors will open at 6pm. When you arrive, you can grab a photo in our very own awards photobooth and then head into the Main Hall, find your table and enjoy your free glass of wine. If you don't drink, you can collect your free non-alcoholic drink at the bar. Whilst you sip on your drink, you can enjoy music from our live speak easy swing band. 

The ceremony will begin at roughly 7:15. This is where we honour outstanding achievements and contributions. The SU Awards Ceremony isn't just about recognition – it's about joy, camaraderie, and making memories that will last a lifetime! 

Throughout the evening, there’ll be breaks where you can top up your glass at the bar and soak in the atmosphere. During the food break, stunning, Instagram-worthy grazing boards will be served right to your tables – perfect for sharing and snapping. And while you relax, the live band will keep the vibes going, joined by a very special secret act you won’t want to miss... 🎶✨

The evening will end at 12am, however, the party doesn't stop there, for the SU Student Awards After Party, head to MooMoos!

🚨Tickets go OFF SALE on the 30.04.25. No further tickets will be able to be bought after this time, so if you've not bought yours by then, you will not be able to attend. Grab yours quick and don't miss out on the biggest event of the year celebrating student success at UoG! 🚨

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR TICKET:

We have allocated a set number of tickets to clubs and societies to ensure all students can grab themselves a ticket for the evening. If you have a Sports Club or Society membership and wish to sit with your club or society, please purchase either the Sports Ticket or Society Ticket. When you purchase your ticket, you will be asked which club or society table you wish to be seated at.  

If the allocated number of tickets for clubs and societies sell out, you are still able to purchase a General Ticket and we will still try to seat you with your chosen club or society.  

If you are not part of a club or society, please buy a General Ticket.  

Clubs and Societes have been offered a discounted table price - please contact your committee if you need further information on this

Parking – There is no parking at the venue so we do not recommend you drive, or if you do, please travel with others and find parking in the local area. Any parking at the venue will be reserved for staff members. To find parking close to the area, click here https://www.cheltenham.gov.uk/parking

We’ve got a live swing, jazz, and funk band bringing the speakeasy vibes to life – setting the perfect soundtrack for an evening at our secret bar. From toe-tapping rhythms to smooth sax melodies, they'll have you fully immersed in the 1920s atmosphere 🎷🍸✨

Dress to Impress!

Dress to impress – bring out all your glitz and glamour! ✨ While speakeasy-inspired looks are encouraged to match the vibe, they’re not required. Think black tie, sparkles, feathers, and flair – whatever makes you feel fabulous for a night of celebration. 💃🕴️
